Hark The Herald

A VIRTUAL CHOIR RECORDING WITH Christ College Brecon

Christ College Brecon got in touch as they were looking to record a whole school recording of ‘Hark the Herald’. The initial problem was the school could physically not have all of the students in the school chapel as they normally would due to the COVID restrictions that were in place.

With the magic of recording, we went on to capture the organ part, followed by each of the individual bubbled groups separately, keeping strictly with the Welsh Government and school COVID protocols to keep everyone safe.

“These guys really are the best! Professional, thoughtful, flexible, reliable and able to deal with all levels of age and experience. We used them for some online virtual performance work in December and the end result was inspiring and just what we wanted. They would be my 'go to' choice every time for anything to do with audio recording and video work. Total peace of mind for us, and we could simply focus on the performance angle throughout.” Jonathan Ling, Director of Music

The school were running a “Twelve Days of Christmas Series” to spread the Christmas cheer amongst students and their families, so we were also asked if we could also record several solo items. We also took part in a project with the drama department, which is also in our Past Projects section for you to take a look at at. Have a watch through the fantastic performance by the students below and some of the incredible individual pieces!

Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Christ College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school, with 350 pupils on roll between the ages of seven to 18. For more information visit www.christcollegebrecon.com
