Rachel at Avant Cymru got in touch to see if we could help with the recording of some new break beats for their partnership with UK Breakin with the line up of a beatboxer, trumpeter, drummer, guitarist and pianist. The guys absolutely smashed it and it was an absolute pleasure to work alongside them creating some incredible music.

Nothing was scripted or written ahead of the session, just some insanely amazing improvisation on the day. There’s always something special when musicians get together in a room without any music and just start jamming! Dean had some ideas in his head, and the guys just made them come to life, it was gold!

Rachel and Jamie from Avant Cymru were in the Control Room while the jams were being recorded, live on Zoom with members of UK Breakin who were dropping in throughout the day. Each of them were utterly impressed with the creations! Rachel and Jamie were even breaking out into dance in the control room!
