The People’s Project

Over the past few years I have had the privilege of working with Live Music Now on their incredible lullaby project, both travelling South Wales working in local communities and at the studio.

The Lullaby Project helps parents, carers and mothers-to-be who are struggling to bond with their baby or feeling lonely. Professional musicians and health workers support each family to create, sing, and record a personal lullaby. Families grow in confidence, being supported to bond with their baby during this special experience.

Over my time on the Lullaby Project I have been fortunate to work with some incredible musicians, and hear such inspiring stories from the participants. There have been many breathtaking moments, both with hearing the vocals from the mums, through to gasps of babies rather close to microphone stands..!

Live Music Now have been shortlisted in The People’s Project, where community groups across the UK are competing for a share of up to £70,000 to help improve the lives of people in their local area. Voting is now open and I would be extremely grateful if you could support LMN on this journey! https://www.thepeoplesprojects.org.uk/projects/view/lullaby-project

It’s been a real privilege to be able to work on from the day that Claire Cressey first got in touch, and to continue with the amazing Jay Mendivil who lives/sleeps/breathes Lullaby! I’ve met some incredible people along the way too! Haz and Lowri, Nicole Boardman, Elly Hopkins, Ellie Knott, Helen Woods, Bethan Semmens, Megan Morris, Kirstie Miller, Jamie Bowen, Angharad Jenkins, Delyth Jenkins and so many incredible families.
