Skipton Choir

We travelled up to Skipton, North Yorkshire over the weekend to record the incredible Skipton Choir at the magnificent Christ Church.

Under their Musical Director, David Weale, The Skipton Choir seeks to provide a fun, enthusiastic environment in which anyone can come and learn to sing, regardless of experience or ability. No auditions required, just a passion for singing and a desire to learn, as with us you will learn to improve your technique and develop as part of the choir. Our rehearsals are energetic and fun, with the joy of singing at their core, and there is plenty of opportunity to perform at events in and around Skipton.

Our repertoire includes a wide range of contemporary music, including popular songs, and music from films and theatre, all of which we sing in 4-part harmony. With us, you'll find not only your voice, but long-lasting friends.

The Skipton Choir is a new choir in name only. In fact it was been running for 10 years as part of the ‘Rock Up and Sing’ family of choirs originally conceived by Rhiannon Gayle, which was disbanded in 2019.

It was such a magical recording with a fantastic programme, the choir sounding absolutely amazing and the wonderful accompaniment of keys, guitar and percussion, directed by the choirs musical director David Weale.
