Fidel Beauhill

An amazing day recording with the awesome Fidel Beauhill, recording his book 'Divorce: A Modern Man's Guide'.

This is about stepping into your masculine energy and taking the lead in your divorce for the well-being of everyone involved. The ordinary bloke gets that, which is why this book is for him.

Endings are always going to be upsetting and divorce is a big one. This is the end of your marriage but not the end of your family. Yes, you and your wife no longer love each other but you still love your kids and they will play a big part in how you handle the divorce process. Their world is about to change and how they get through it is all down to what you and your wife do next.

The common misconception is that because we are men, we’re not in touch with our emotions. We are the stronger sex, the cavemen, the warriors, the conquerors and heroes, and so it’s assumed that we don’t need comfort and support and we can just tough it out. But if you’re a man going through a divorce, then you know none of that is true because what you’re most likely feeling is devastation. The effects of divorce are shown to be worse on the physical and mental health of a man than they are for a woman, and that is a proven fact.

A great day, filled with chocolate covered Hobnobs and tea, with its fair share of belly rumbles! A great read/listen I believe for those that aren’t going through a divorce too! Some valuable life lessons and fantastic quotations throughout.
